(NY POST) – President Trump said he has no plans to amend the U.S. Constitution in order to run for a third term.
“No. No,” Trump answered, when posed the question by “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. “Just won’t happen, it’s not – I think the eight-year limit is a good thing, not a bad thing.”
Wallace asked Trump, who’s nearly midway through his first term in office, to rank himself among the “pantheon of great presidents.”
“I think I’m doing a great job. We have the best economy we’ve ever had,” he said in the interview that aired Sunday. “We’re doing really well. We would have been at war with North Korea if, let’s say, that administration continued forward.”
Pressed again, Trump gave himself a letter grade.
“I would give myself. I would – look, I hate to do it, but I will do it. I would give myself an A+, is that enough? Can I go higher than that?”
Trump sat down for a wide-ranging interview with Wallace on Friday and in a rare move admitted he made a mistake.
After skipping a ceremony at an American cemetery in France on Nov. 10, due to Marine One not being able to fly in the rain, Trump said he should have gone to Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day.
“I should have done that. I was extremely busy on calls for the country, we did a lot of calling,” Trump said. “I probably, you know, in retrospect, I should have and I did last year and I will virtually every year. But we had come in very late at night and I had just left, literally, the American cemetery in Paris and I really probably assumed that was fine and I was extremely busy because of affairs of state doing other things.”
Trump had given a speech Nov. 11 at another American cemetery in Paris before flying back to D.C.
