Royal Caribbean Cruises ban woman for life after dangerous photo

(7NEWS) – Instagram-worthy or ignorant? An image of a woman posing on the edge of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship after climbing over the balcony railing – has got her kicked off the vessel.

The photo taken by a fellow passenger, who was shocked at the woman’s actions, shows a lady in a blue swimsuit striking a pose for the camera in an extremely dangerous spot.

The lady and her companion have since been removed from the Allure of the Seas cruise following the incident.

Royal Caribbean have also banned the pair from using the cruise line again.

Passenger Peter Blosic took the image and posted it online expressing his anger over the woman’s irresponsible actions.

In the now-removed post, he said: “you cannot fall off of a ship unless you are acting like a moron!”.

Quite rightly the man alerted guest services soon after he saw the woman on the edge, due to the nature of the risk.

The crew then tracked down the woman and her friend, removing them from the ship when it docked at Falmouth, Jamaica.

“Sitting, standing, laying or climbing on, over or across any exterior or interior railings or other protective barriers, or tampering with ship’s equipment, facilities or systems designed for guest safety is not permitted,” Royal Caribbean wrote on their website.
