Queens: Woman raped and beaten for 6 hours, police looking for 53yro man

(1010 WINS) – A manhunt is underway for a 53-year-old suspect after a woman was raped and beaten repeatedly at his home in Queens before escaping out a window, police said.

One law enforcement source told 1010 WINS it’s one of the worst crimes he’s seen in all his years of experience.

The 29-year-old woman was raped multiple times at the suspect’s home near 224th Street and 130th Avenue in Laurelton on Thursday morning, according to police.

The woman was trapped in the home for six hours – from 6 a.m. to noon – before she was able to escape by jumping from a window, police said.

Over the six hours, she was punched multiple times and had at least one facial fracture.

Police are looking for 53-year-old Michael Hosang, who was last seen driving a red Chevrolet pickup truck with Florida plates reading JZEY32.

One neighbor named Simon told 1010 WINS reporter Roger Stern that he’s lived in the neighborhood for 30 years and has never heard of anything so disturbing.

“It’s a very stable and I feel secure neighborhood,” he said. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
