(NYPOST) – A British man who was molested on a plane by a drunk mom who abandoned her 7-year-old daughter to try to have public sex with him is furious she avoided jail — insisting it’s only because she’s a woman.
Single dad Gary Kirby, 31, was flying his 10-year-old son, Connor, to Turkey for a birthday treat last May when he was groped by Louise Whyte, 38, who had left her daughter alone to hit on the humiliated dad.
He told the UK’s Metro that he repeatedly pushed her away as she told him, “I’ll give you a b—–b” — with his traumatized son looking on as Whyte tried to take off her pants and underwear.
“You can’t put the embarrassment into words,” Kirby told the paper, waiving his right to anonymity as a sex crime victim to attack the sentencing that kept Whyte out of jail.
“If it was a fella doing that, he wouldn’t be spared jail,” Kirby, from Merseyside, told the paper.
“Are you telling me if I was on a plane and I started removing my outer clothing, and tried to have sex with someone, I would be spared jail? No way, pal.”
He said the “only reason” she is free is because she is a woman.
“If I stand here, as a 6-foot well-built man, and did all of that, I would be in jail. One million percent,” he insisted.
Kirby said the attack ruined his trip with son Connor, who kept asking about it during his birthday, which was two days after the attack.
“The effect on my lad was absolutely disgusting,” Kirby said.
“I’m not [bothered] about the effect it’s had on me. I’m a man, I can learn to deal with it. But this is my son,” he said.
Whyte pleaded guilty to sexual assault and entering an aircraft when drunk. She was sentenced to six months’ jail, suspended for a year, meaning she stays out of custody if she keeps free of trouble and meets curfew and rehab conditions.
Kirby, however, insisted that even without assaulting him, Whyte should have been jailed for “the fact she’s drunk on board a plane, which is a criminal offense in itself.”
“She was endangering the safety of the other passengers and the cabin crew,” he told Metro UK.
