Yuen has also been ordered to serve 20 years in jail for drug offences, including two counts of ‘repeat drug trafficking’, one of 69g and one of 60g of cannabis.

Another offence included drug trafficking of 15g of crystal meth. He was originally facing the death penalty but the charge was dropped because the net weight of drugs involved was below 500g.

His younger sister, a 28-year-old development manager, said that prison guards have already tried to carry out the caning punishment twice.
