SVG MET OFFICE: Showers,Isolated Thunderstorms Before Midnight

A surface to low-level shear line trailing yesterday”s tropical wave, is expected to bring occasionally cloudy skies with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms across our islands later today.

A well-defined low-pressure system is just off the west coast of Africa and environmental conditions are favorable, with a high chance (80%) that a tropical depression or a tropical storm could form later today as the disturbance moves westward or west-northwestward at about 15 mph across the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean.

This system poses no threat to St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

Projections indicate that this system should be passing over the mid-Atlantic Ocean to the north-east of the Island chain next Tuesday/Wednesday….this system will be monitored
