New Tropical Disturbance In The Atlantic

The circulation associated with an area of low pressure centred several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands remains broad and elongated, and the associated shower and thunderstorm activity has not yet increased in organization.

However, environmental conditions are conducive for development, and a tropical depression is expected to form within the next day or two while the system moves slowly westward or west-northwestward across the tropical Atlantic Ocean.

* Formation chance through 48 hours…high…80 percent.

* Formation chance through 5 days…high…90 percent.

  1. Dominica upward, look out! A Storm/Hurricane may be heading your way! Of course, we in Vincy have to eye the tropical system too. A slight shift southward may have the system coming our way.
