The Royal Bahamas Defence Force have seized just over $1 million worth of marijuana and arrested two locals and a Jamaican.

A Defence Force vessel, while on routine patrol in the southwestern Bahamas in the area of Cay Lobos, intercepted a 28-foot go-fast vessel.

When it was searched, just over 1,000 pounds of the contraband found on board.

The three men on the boat – two Bahamians and a Jamaican – were also apprehended and handed over to officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Drug Enforcement Unit.
