Kareem Charles and Shamol Richardson both of Redemption Sharpes have been charged by the Police for several offences.
They are accused of attempted murder on Jawani Roberts of the same address at Grenville Street on October 24th, 2018, having in their possession one revolver along with 5 rounds of ammunition without the relevant license and discharging a firearm within one hundred yards of the public road.
Both Charles and Richardson were both escorted to the Serious Offences Court on Monday December 3rd facing the indictable charges before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne but were not allowed to pleas.
When the question of bail arose, Senior Prosecutor had no objection to Richardson’s bail which was allowed in the sum of $40,000.00 with one surety.
He was also ordered to report to the Central Police Station on Mondays and Thursdays between 6am and 6pm.
Charles’ bail was objected to as he was currently on bail for two separate charges of wounding with intent and possession of a firearm which occurred in August this year.
Charles was therefore remanded into custody. March 5th, 2019 is the date set for the Preliminary Inquiry.
