No significant convection associated with tropical wave approaching island

According to a weather outlook report by the SVG metrological office, no significant convection is associated with the tropical wave expected to cross the area on Friday, this is due to a dry mid-level atmosphere.

The tropical wave presently analyzed is located at  44 degrees west (1000 miles east of St. Vincent and the Grenadines), and is moving near 15 mph.

East North-east to East South-east trade winds ranging between 15km/h to 35 km/h should continue during the forecast period.

Moderate easterly sea swells are expected during the next 72 hours with swells peaking near 2.0 meters (7.0 feet)

The analysis also suggests a layer of Saharan dust haze moving into the area by late Saturday, the end of this forecast period.
