The met office in its 6 pm weather report said that a tropical wave is approaching the islands and will also affect St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The report noted a warning for small craft operators and sea bathers to exercise caution.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the tropical wave extends from 18N43W to 04N45W, moving westward 15 to 20 knots. Scattered moderate convection is near the southern end of the wave’s axis.
The wave shows up well in model diagnostics guidance and TPW product.
Tropical moisture associated with this wave will reach the waters E of the Windward Islands tonight, and move across these islands on Sat, increasing the likelihood of showers and isolated tstms.
The wave will enter the eastern Caribbean early on Sun.
