Jehovah’s Witnesses will host their annual convention on Friday, July 20, to Sunday, July 22, 2018, beginning at 9:20 a.m. each day. The program finishes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The theme of this year’s convention is “Be Courageous!” Since the beginning of the month, the Witnesses has been involved in a campaign to invite the general public to attend the program free of charge. The convention will be held at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.
The three-day program consists of 54 presentations that will include talks, audio dramas, interviews, and short videos.
Additionally, a feature film entitled The Story of Jonah—A Lesson in Courage and Mercy will be shown on the final day of the convention program (Sunday afternoon at 1:50 p.m.). Each day, the morning and afternoon sessions will be introduced by music videos prepared specifically for the convention.
Why we consider this convention vital? When you look at the news today, you can clearly see that people of all ages are dealing with more anxieties and fears than ever before. It takes courage to face these pressures.
The program will highlight ways that youths, married persons, parents, older persons and others can strengthen their courage. You will learn lessons in courage from creation (Lions, horses, mongooses, hummingbirds and elephants).
Future events recorded in the bible that will require courage will be discussed. We welcome everyone to this year’s convention to benefit from the practical advice that’s contained in the Bible.
