Vincentian students studying abroad continue to make their homeland St Vincent and the Grenadines proud.
Recently two female Vincentian students were elected as the new international student representatives at their various schools for 2019-2020 school year.
But what may be different about these two students was how they got to Taiwan, you may call destiny, read on.
These two students, Shafana Williams of Upper Questelles and Nateisha Campbell of Barrouallie left St Vincent together in 2018, missed their connecting flight to Taiwan together, had to overnight in NY, and also had to pay to have their tickets changed (out of pocket).
The pair missing their flight was not of their making, but that of immigration officials and after all that stress they are shinning and doing well academically.
Williams was elected ISR at National Yang-Ming University, while Campbell was elected ISR at National Tsing Hua University.
Campbell is currently reading for a Masters in International Business Administration, while Williams, who is pursuing her second degree in Taiwan, is reading for a Masters in International Health Program.
News784 wishes both ladies all the best in their studies and that no out of pocket money will have to be spent on their voyage back home.
