Vincentian Owned Restaurant To Open Second Location At Brooklyn Navy Yard

(Dnainfo.com)— Half-dozen local eateries will be joining Russ & Daughters and Brooklyn Brewery at the Navy Yard’s new food hall, which is expected to open this year.

Among those moving into the 60,000-square-foot food hall at Building 77, would be Vincentian owned “The Food Sermon”.

Crown Heights Caribbean fixture The Food Sermon, belonging to Vincentian Rawlston Willaims,  will serve its signature Island Bowls, filled with tasty stewed meats in coconut ginger and spicy tomato sauces.

The restaurant will also manufacture its own brand of bottled hot sauces and teas at the Navy Yard’s manufacturing facility.

The New York Times rated “The Food Sermon” as the top place in New York City ‘to eat well and cheaply in 2015.

“The food hub will actually reflect the diversity of Brooklyn,” said Navy Yard head David Ehrenberg in a statement.

The food hall is slated to open by mid-2017 and create 150 to 250 new jobs, a spokeswoman for the Navy Yard said.
