National sprint athlete Kimorie Shearman who is currently on an Athletic Scholarship at Wiley College in Texas, USA, continues to perform well.
After running a NAIA Championship qualifying time, Shearman won the Red River Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week ending March 3rd.
In his Wildcat debut, Shearman won the 400- meter dash over 32 sprinters in a time of 47.97 at the Marc Randle Classic in Bullard, Texas.
This surpassed the NAIA ‘A’ Qualifying standard of 48.30. Shearman helped the Wildcats finish second out of 16 teams.
Shearman, who got his break at age 24, is doing his major in Physical Education, at Wiley College.
Other than competing in local championships, Shearman has competed at the OECS Championships, Grenada Nationals, the Trinidad and Tobago Nationals, Barbados Nationals, CAC Games, Pan American Games Festival and the Commonwealth Games.
