UWI Open Campus Students Participate In Netball Finals

The University of the West Indies Open Campus is pleased to announce that two of its first-year students, Ms. Shakira Collymore and Ms. Shanique DeShong, from Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines respectively, participated in the just concluded Netball Finals organised by the Tertiary Sport Association of Trinidad and Tobago (TSATT). The finals were held at the UWI SPEC at the St. Augustine Campus.

They joined fellow students from the Open Campus, Trinidad and Tobago, on Tuesday, November 26th to compete in the finals of the Netball Competition between the UWI Open Campus and the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). The Open Campus lost the game to the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

Ms. DeShong is a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Coaching at the University of the West Indies Open Campus, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, while Ms. Collymore is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies Open Campus, Grenada.

Both students are national players in their respective countries in Netball, Volleyball, Basketball and Football. The Open Campus wishes to congratulate both Shanique and Shakira on their participation and outstanding performance.
