Around the world in this month of October, groups and organizations are working to highlight awareness of the plight of Breast Cancer, because it has become one of the leading causes of death among women in most societies.

In support of this, the SVG Medical Association will stage its 14th Annual PINK CAP CITY WALK today Friday October 12th 2018 beginning at Heritage Square from 3:30pm, and end with  a Cultural & Educational Rally in the Square, at the conclusion of the City Walk around Kingstown.

The organization continues in its ongoing effort to build public awareness of Breast cancer in St. Vincent & the Grenadines and raise funds to provide financial support to women who are required to travel abroad for treatment, and to assist with the cost of treatment.

The public is invited to participate, by Wearing Pink on Friday October 12, or by purchasing a Pink Tee shirt, and Pink Caps from the Association, and join the City Walk.

The October activities for Breast Cancer Awareness 2018 – will culminate with a 5K run from the Arnos Vale Playing Field to the Lotto Tennis Court at Richmond Hill on Sunday October 21, beginning at 6am.
