SVG Ranked 2nd Among OECS Countries For Press Freedom In 2016

St Vincent and the Grenadines ranked  2nd  in the OECS for press freedom in 2016.

Freedom House In its 2016 report on press freedom says,  the share of the world’s population that enjoys a Free press stood at just 13 percent, meaning fewer than one in seven people live in countries where coverage of political news is robust, the safety of journalists is guaranteed, state intrusion in media affairs is minimal, and the press is not subject to onerous legal or economic pressures.

The organization in its 2016 report gave SVG  a PRESS FREEDOM SCORE of  17  out of 100, with (0 being the best and 100 being the WORST).
