  1. These people are crazy. Why? They suddenly cares about black people that much to have a road name after Mandela. Stop oppressing the people and it will be hundred percent better. What happen to Winston Davis highway

  2. Or as a matter of fact Chatoyet or Duvalier highway.as this is more relevant to us. Remember the philosophy of the Marxist Ulp, no wonder why they are so consistent with an outdated Marxist Lennist ideas. The Ulp is just being true to its creed.

  3. We closed the E T Josha airport name the after him. While I can appreciate what Nelson did we have many local persons who are in need of honouring

  4. Why don’t we argue the same thing about Elizabeth. What had she done for St.Vincent, why we still bow down to she and her clan and why is she on our money.

  5. Would it be appropriate to name the Argyle Onternational Airport, “Barrack Obama International Airport” in denial of Hon Ralph Gonsalves? I guess not! If we do this it would be an insult to his contribution to the airport and development of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We the people of SVG are so cruel to each other that we have difficulties honoring our own and embracing pluralistism.
I have the utmost admiration and respect for Nelson Mandela, however there are many Vincentians who have contributed significantly and in very special ways to Saint Vincent and Grenadines. These persons are continuously overlooked by the Government with regard to honors. It’s time to celebrate our own and give them the recognition they deserve.
Do you think South Africa will ever have a Dr. Ralph Gonsalves Highway under black or white rule? I am more in favor of a portrait in our International Airport or our parliament in honour of Nelson Mandela.
