Lodge Village Government School Holds Career Week

The Lodge Village Government School held a career week culminating with a career day on Thursday 6th June 2019.

Coordinator of the activities and counselor at the Lodge Village Government school Mrs Lavette Johnson told News784 the purpose of career day was to encourage students to start thinking about their career path.

Career week started on 3rd June and culminated Thursday 6th June, 2019,  under the theme “Make your dream a reality”.

Activities on Monday saw professionals speaking to students in different grades about career.

They included Politicians, Public Health officials, Electricians, Pastors and representatives from business houses.

On Tuesday 4th, teachers taught subjects areas related to career, assisted students to design their own slogans for Thursday’s march.

Wednesday in class activities continued with essay writing, and role plays.

On Thursday students marched in the morning from the school to Browne’s’ Hardware and back.

After the march students viewed exhibitions/displays from hairdressers and from the Ministry of Forestry

The Afternoon session had presenters from the Ministry of Health, Occupational Health and Safety and the Media.
