On Friday 14th July 2017, the local chapter of Soroptimist International celebrated its 30th Anniversary in St Vincent.
On Sunday the club held a celebratory Tea Party during which time several members were recognised for their contribution over the years.
Development and Organizational Officer of Soroptimist International, Rene Baptiste, said that to date the club’s biggest project is the establishment of the Comfort Station in Kingstown.
Baptiste also stated that the Club provides assistance to several other Institutions here.
Soroptimist International is a global volunteer organisation working to improve the lives of women and girls through social and economic empowerment programs.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Chapter consists of thirty-five members.
