Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo Says, “SVG Has Grown Significantly In 17yrs”

Ghana’s President Nana Akufo – Addo speaking in St Vincent on Wednesday 12th June 2019 said this visit tells him about how extensive the transformation of St Vincent and the Grenadines has been in the 17 years since he was last here.

” Beginning with the airport, I came to a rather small airport so I was a bit disconcerted when I came and saw this big new modern airport, this is an indication that indeed a significant transformation is taking place here under the leadership of Prime Minister Gonsalves”.

Addo congratulated the people of SVG on the excellent news that the country had been elected to occupy a non-permanent seat on the Security Council of the United Nations.

” Apart from that, it transpires that you are the smallest country ever to occupy a seat on the Security Council, that is very strong testimony as to how the world, the international community values and regards St Vincent and the Grenadines”.

His Excellency Addo told the audience of Students, Business executives and officials that as Vincentians they should be appropriately grateful for such recognition.
