St Vincent and the Grenadines Toastmasters has kicked off its first Annual National Corporate Public Speaking Championship (NCPSC) with preliminaries successfully underway.
St Vincent and the Grenadines Toastmasters teaches public speaking and leadership skills and has helped people from across the island to become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.
The event is sponsored in part by CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank. Upon receiving the donation, Arlette Miller, Chairperson of the NCPSC, noted her gratitude, adding that, “We as Toastmasters appreciate the need for more effective communication in the workplace. Over the last 12 years, Toastmasters in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have been achieving excellence through the invaluable support of prestigious firms such as CIBC First Caribbean”.
Country Head of CIBC FirstCaribbean Shelly-Anne Samuel said, “Good communication and leadership skills are essential to the success of all the top performers within our company. We appreciate how Toastmasters has helped persons and continues to help them to build skills that promotes both personal and professional growth, and we are honoured to partner with the National Corporate Public Speaking Championship.”
The bank also recently made a presentation to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association which hosted its Annual Junior Easter Tennis Tournament.
Mr. Brian G. Nash, President of the association noted that the support from the bank not only helped to purchase trophies and balls for the tournament but also ensured a successful event for the kids.
