A gas station in Clifton exploded sometime between 6.30 pm – 6.45 pm on the evening of Tuesday 19th May 2020, Clifton is known as the main business center on Union Island.
Residents told News784 that the fire tender was called into action, as Clifton was plunged into darkness due to plumes of smoke.
According to information a petrol truck exploded and ignited a fire that sent the gas station up in flames.The explosion from information rocked Clifton.
It is reported that the owner of the Gas station Freddy Naat was injured along with two other persons, the fire is said to be in the vicinity of the famous Lambi’s.
