Vincentians expecting barrels before Christmas day will be in for a long wait.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves said he was advised by Tropical Shipping Lines that a large volume of barrels may come after the Christmas holiday.
“ Tropical has told me that the shipping companies are giving priority to those countries affected by the hurricanes, Antigua, Puerto Rico, Dominica, BVI among them”.
Gonsalves said we have to understand this, however, the port has been working Saturday and Sunday to help persons as much as possible.
“ This ensures that any vessel that comes in at any time would be able to accommodate them, we have the systems in place, I have been advised,” Gonsalves said.
