A number of bills are down for hearing at the next sitting of parliament which convenes on Thursday 8th December 2016.
The Education (Amendment) Bill, 2016 is among four Bills set to receive their first reading when Parliament convenes.
The other Bills are the Feeder and Agricultural Roads Project (Loan Authorization) Bill, 2016, the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (Common Reporting Standard) Bill, 2016, and the Airports (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The National Insurance Services Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2015 will also be presented by Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves, while the National Broadcasting Corporation Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2014, with Comparative figures for 2013 will be presented by Honourable Camillo Gonsalves-Minister of Information.
The Order Paper contains nine questions submitted by the opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) for oral answers.
Parliament is scheduled to begin at 10:00am on Thursday at the House of Assembly in Kingstown.
