Vincentian Woman Charged With Drug-Related Offences In Barbados

Vincentian/Canadian visitor Mellissa McMillan, 37, who was charged with a number of drug-related offences committed at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday, September 20, reappeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates Barbados.

According to the Nation Newspaper, She had been remanded to prison after her first court appearance on September 21.

She pleaded guilty to all of the charges and was fined $15 000 forthwith, for possession of cannabis; $10 000 forthwith for the importation of cannabis, and reprimanded and discharged for trafficking of cannabis, and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

The fines were paid, and she was handed over to immigration for deportation.
