Bequia Man Gets 2 Years For Burglarising Governor Generals Apartment

Wilson Ollivierre a Labour from the community of Friendship, Bequia will be a guest at Her Majesty’s Prison during this Christmas season and beyond for the next two (2) years on charges of burglary .

The invitation was given last Friday by Senior Magistrate, Bertie Pompey at the Kingstown Magistrate Court when Ollivierre appeared in court and entered pleas of guilty.

He is accused of breaking and entering an apartment own by the Governor General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne at Friendship, Bequia between 26th November and 1st December 2016.

He stole (2)  32’ Samsung Television valued at $5,000.00 and also carried out the same act on the dwelling house of Patrice Roberts at Friendship, Bequia stealing a quantity of household articles amounting to $10,227.00 between the 5th October and 1st December 2016.

The apartment and dwelling house were broken into while the caretaker of the apartment and Roberts were away, after they secured the same.
