Two tourists sexually assaulted, robbed in Tobago

(TRINIDAD EXPRESS) – The third attack on tourists in Tobago in recent weeks has been condemned by Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles and Tobago West MP Shamfa Cudjoe.

Police said two female British tourists, ages 33 and 35 years, were at Grafton Beach on Monday around 1.30 a.m., when they were sexually assaulted and robbed. A 34-year-old man from Young Street, Canaan, has been arrested in connection with the crime.

Only on Monday, National Security Minister Stuart Young said he had observed tourists in Tobago making a report at the Shirvan Road Police Station and hoped it was not one that was crime-related.
