TRINIDAD: Five prisoners recaptured

After 12 hours on the run, five of the eight prisoners who escaped the Golden Grove Prison in Arouca were recaptured last night.

The Express was told that the five were held in a bushy area near a guest house at Las Lomas.

Police identified the recaptured prisoners as Mikhale Mohammed, Steffon Austin, Joshua Janet, Kerry Valentino and Brent Johnson.

Prisoners Olatunji Denbow, Michael Findley and Atiba Sealy were still on the run last night.

Sealy of Princes Town was charged with five counts of armed robbery and two additional charges of possession of a firearm and ammunition in January 2019.

Sealy and two others, Jerell Alexis and Kirsten Charles, were charged with the robbery of a customer and five employees at Island Beer Chill and Grill located at Southpark Mall in Tarouba.
