Minister Says Cocaine Suspect Not His Relative

(Trinidad Express) – National Security Minister Stuart Young is refuting claims that his relative is among the people arrested in a multi million dollar cocaine bust in Westmoorings today.

In a statement, Young said that the woman in custody was a relative of his former partner.

He said: “It has come to my attention that it is being suggested and reported by persons including the media that a relative of mine has been arrested.

No relative of mine has been arrested. A young lady who has been arrested is a relative of my former partner.

I have no connection or relation to the young woman in question.

I will emphasize that no one is above the law and anyone who breaks the law will face the consequences”.
