PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – The Trinidad-based Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has been awarded the Platinum MarCom Award in the category of Communication Training and Education.
CARPHA said that it won the international award from a field of nearly 6,000 including individuals, media conglomerates, and Fortune 50 companies
MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals and CARPHA said it won the award for its Risk and Crisis Communication Train the Trainer Workshop, held in September this year.
It said the three day workshop was attended by 23 senior public health officials from 10 CARPHA member states and funded by the US-based Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
CARPHA said out of 6,000 entries 15 per cent receive a Platinum award and 20 per cent the Gold award, adding that “this competition is the largest in the world for communication professionals”.
