Antigua: Two Officers Charged with Kidnapping, Corruption, Assault

The Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force in a press release said that two of its Law Enforcement officers had been charged with, kidnapping, misbehaviour in public office, corruption and assault.

The charges stem from allegations in two separate incidents, where both officers allegedly kidnapped and assaulted two men and seized a quantity of cannabis from them, which is yet unaccounted for.

Following an investigation, the officers were taken into custody. They are expected to make their first court appearance sometime next week.
