3 killed in small plane crash

The police have identified the three males who were yesterday killed when a small plane crashed in the Greenwich Town area of St Andrew.

They are: 18-year-old Romone Forbes of a St Mary address; 31-year-old Jonathan Worton, flight instructor of Boonhall Road in Stony Hill, St Andrew; and 19-year-old Dansheer Gilmore of Ocean Hill in St Ann.

Reports are that about 1:35 pm on Thursday the three were aboard a small fix wing aircraft when it developed mechanical difficulties and crashed in the Greenwich Town area.

All three sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where Worton and Gilmore were pronounced dead on arrival.

Forbes, who was admitted in critical condition, succumbed to his injuries about 10:00 pm last night..

Investigations continue.
