Fair to occasionally cloudy skies are forecast this morning with few scattered showers, but by evening into the night, showers are forecast to increase with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms across the island.
Briefly around Thursday morning, some fair conditions are expected ahead of a tropical wave, but by Thursday afternoon into Friday, with the help of an upper-level trough, the wave will generate moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorm activity across SVG.
Moderate easterly trades (20km/h-35km/h) are anticipated, decreasing in speed (15km/h-20km/h) and blowing from the east-north-east (ENE) around Wednesday evening. Wind speeds will increase again around Wednesday night, before decreasing ahead of the wave around Thursday. Strong winds (25km/h-40km/h) are likely Thursday night with possible gusts near showers and a moderate (25km/h-35km/h) easterly flow is expected on Friday.
Seas will generally be slight to moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.0m-1.5m on the western coasts and ranging between 2.3m-2.5m on the eastern coasts. In addition, a thin film of Saharan dust haze will be visible on Wednesday, with a gradual thickening around Thursday.
