Senior Adventist minister and daughter kidnapped in Haiti
Authorities in Haiti are working to reunite a family after a Florida – based Adventist minister, and his daughter were allegedly kidnapped in Haiti on Christmas eve.
According to Haitibones.org, the information portal of Haiti Adventist Hospital Irma Henry and her father Elie Henry went missing on Christmas Eve while en route from the hospital to relative’s house in Felmathe on the other side of Port au Prince.
Irma Henry is chief of Physical Therapy and has been working at HAH for the last 2 years. Her parents are on a short holiday visit to Haiti.
According to the information released by the Haitibones.org, Irma and her father left the hospital by private vehicle at approximately 6 pm on Thursday night and never arrived at their expected destination.
On Friday morning Elie’s brother who is a neurosurgeon in Port au Prince was contacted by kidnappers who said that they are holding Irma and her father for a ransom of $5 million USD.
