On January 13, 2020, The Rotary Club of St. Vincent South journeyed to Owia to assemble and handover the last of three swing sets donated by the Club to pre-schools throughout the country.
Upon arriving at the Owia Primary School, members of the Rotary South were met by Principal, Natasha Nero, who was most appreciative and expressed her gratitude for the set on behalf of the Kindergarten class.
Members spent just over three hours for the final assembly of the swing set, which proved to be too long for three eager children of the community who were very excited to be the first ones to “christen” the playground.
The other 2 swing sets were donated to the Fair Hall Primary School and Vinsave in the latter half of 2019.
The Rotary Club of St. Vincent South wishes to thank the general public for their past assistance in supporting their fundraising efforts, and look forward to continued support in the years to come.
Rotary continues its work to uplift and improve the lives of our communities, and it is with the support of the general populace that these initiatives can be undertaken.
