President Maduro confirms new contacts for dialogue with Venezuelan opposition

President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed on Wednesday that his Government has resumed contacts with Norway to hold dialogues with the opposition, after the freezing of the negotiating table in protest against the executive order imposed by the US against the South American nation.

“I can report that contacts with the Norwegian government have resumed, there have been several meetings, contacts with Venezuelan opposition delegates have resumed,” the President said in an exclusive interview with the Chinese media, Xinhua.

President Maduro boosts “Hugo Chávez Frías” Technology Park

On Wednesday, the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced a productive boost for the “Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías” Technology Park where strategic pieces and parts will be manufactured for the national industry.

The President stressed that the park located in Anzoátegui state seeks to catapult itself as a “factory of factories” that enhances the industrial development of Venezuela. “We have to address the productive economy, the real economy and combine science and technology with the real economy,” he said

 

The return of nationals to Venezuela plan continues

Thanks to the Return to the homeland Plan, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro in 2018, 90 nationals who were in the Dominican Republic returned to Venezuela on Wednesday.

This new group of Venezuelans joins those already brought by the Venezuelan government’s program. To date there are 366 nationals returning from the Dominican territory.

Socio-economic circumstances, as well as labor shortages and exploitation, low salaries, together with the lack of a home are the main reasons why Venezuelans decide to return to their nation.

Venezuela ratifies call for meeting to deal with Amazon fires

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza ratified the call for an extraordinary meeting of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) to address the growing fires that have destroyed millions of hectares in less than 21 days in the Amazon.

“The governments of the Amazon region must assume with ethics and responsibility; the management and control of the damage of the devastating fires in the Earth’s lungs,” said the Venezuelan minister.

On August 23rd, Venezuela requested an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of countries of this body that groups Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela, nations that share the 7,413,827 km² that make up the Amazon.

More than 6 million people recover their sight with Miracle  Mission

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that more than 6 million people from Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa have regained their sight after benefiting from the Miracle Mission, an agreement signed between Commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro in 2004, the pronouncement comes within the framework of the 25th year of the elimination of polio in the Americas.

 

Delcy Rodríguez: Terrorist plans against public services are rejected by the people

The Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said the Venezuelan people reject the plans of the extremist right wing to threaten the operation of public services.

“The terrorist plans of the imperial right wing against public services will find the repudiation and categorical rejection of the Venezuelan people. United we will defend our country from those who seek its destruction and assault the population!” Rodriguez said. The pronouncement of the Vice President comes after extremist opposition groups caused a fire at the Jefa Apacuana Community Gas Filling Plant, in Miranda state on Saturday. The sabotage action left significant material losses in the infrastructure, but there were no casualties or injuries.

 

#EnVenezuelaChallenge, the musical challenge that inspires a nation

President Nicolás Maduro launched a musical challenge labeled #EnVenezuelaChallenge. This consists of sharing parts of the song “Venezuela” on social networks, one of the most iconic songs of the country, after the National Anthem (Gloria al Bravo Pueblo).

 

Venezuela and Russia strengthen union and multilateral cooperation

After her visit to Russia, Delcy Rodríguez,, Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, informed that new alliances were sealed in different areas for bilateral cooperation in order to strengthen the union between the two countries.

In a productive work meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Rodriguez stressed that recent alliances with Moscow are framed in the legacy of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez and in the plan of mutual benefit.

Diosdado Cabello: Guaidó attempts a new coup

The President of the National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, denounced that the opponent Juan Guaidó, who swore in himself as President of the country, would be planning a new coup d’etat.

“Today, after they had a meeting, a small team met. Juan Guaidó met to say something and spoke of a new coup d’etat (against the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro),” said Cabello.
