12 Vincentian Students Pursue Medicine In Cuba

Twelve new medical students arrived in Cuba on Thursday 30th August from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Ten of the students will pursue studies in general medicine while two are doctors who are specializing.

On arrival at Jose Marti Airport, Ambassador to Cuba Ellsworth John wished the students success during their time in Cuba.

 He also thanked Cuba for their contribution to improving the delivery of medical care in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

In the last school term, three Vincentian students who were engaged in tertiary studies in medicine graduated.

The students are Dr. Dwight A. Richards, Dr. Camille Mc Kenzie, and Dr. Glenette Antoine.

Dr. Charmaine Bailey-Rodgers also completed three years of specialized training in Hygiene and Epidemiology.
