RED WASH: BLP TAKES All, Barbados Gets First Woman PM

Registered voters in Barbados are waking up to change – a new day and a new government, as Barbados elected on Thursday 24th May 2018 their first woman Prime Minister.

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Freundel Stuart conceded the election.

Mia Mottley, the Prime Minister Designate for the Government of Barbados and her team will make up the Cabinet whenever Parliament resumes.

The BLP took all 30 seats in what was considered a taking back of our country.
