Thravis Joseph a 20-year-old young man of the community of Choppins is now on a charge of unlawful and malicious wounding upon his cousin 20 years old Terry Dover of the same address on Monday, May 21st, 2018.
According to a Police source on the date in question, Joseph and Dover went to a wet fete during which time a large quantity of alcohol was consumed by both parties.
Having returned to his home in Choppins Joseph is said to have armed himself with a lawn mower blade and inflicted severe wounds to the body of Dover, the most serious one being one on his left foot.
This resulted in Joseph’s arrest.
Joseph on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 escorted to the Serious Offences Court before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett facing the charge which was laid indictable and was not allowed to enter a plea.
The Prosecution objected to his bail stating that Dover is presently warded at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital nursing the injuries.
Joseph was remanded into custody and is expected to re-appear in Court on May 28th, 2018 when his bail is expected to be reviewed.
