United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines have signed a visa waiver agreement.
This visa-waiver agreement will allow for citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to travel to the UAE, and for citizens of the UAE to travel to St. Vincent and the Grenadines without having to obtain a visa.
The agreement was signed by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Sir Louis Straker.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said visa waiver agreements are very important and are an indication of the closeness between countries.
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy said the UAE government has great respect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines not only as a friendly country but also a country that has significant influence and they are keen to continue to establish strong ties not only between the governments of both countries but also on a people to people level.
On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018, the delegation held meetings with Prime Minister Gonsalves and Governor General His Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne.
