Pig Producers Exposed To Ham-Making Process

Pig producers in SVG were exposed to ham-making process at the New Grounds Agricultural station.
The workshop took place on 17th April, 2018 and involved 9 farmers.
The objective was to:
(1) Build capacity in the sector among stakeholders (youth, farmers and Government staff).
(2) Strengthen producer’s organizations to add value to their product.
(3) Foster group cooperation and camaraderie.
There were 3 staff members from the Animal Health Production Division (AHPD) and 2 members from the SVG Community College.
The Facilitator was Dr Colleen Phillips, Veterinary Officer, and AHPD.
