Buddy Gutter man gets 2yrs for wounding

Aasiah Farrell a 29 years old labourer from the community of Buddy Gutter in the Lowmans Bay area was on Friday, April 20th sentenced to a two-year jail term on a charge of wounding which is said to have occurred on September 6th, 2017.

The sentence was handed down upon Farrell by Senior  Magistrate Rickie Burnett after he changed his plea from not guilty to guilty on a charge of wounding upon 38 years old Egbert Millington a Security Officer of Kingstown Park.

The Court heard that on the date in question Farrell went to a Chinese Store in Kingstown and was harassing the female workers there who complained to the Security Officer.  The Officer instructed Farrell to leave but Farrell refused to do so.

The Security Officer was forced to remove Farrell from the business place.  Report further indicated that Farrell returned to the business place later that day and inflicted a stab wound to the right neck of the said Security Officer.

Farrell will commence serving the two years jail term at the completion of an eight years jail sentence which was recently handed down to him by the High Court.
