Ollivierre Charge Upgraded To Motor Manslaughter In Hamilton's Death

24 years old Jamal Ollivierre from the community of Troumaca who was indicted on a charge of causing death by dangerous driving on December 31st, 2016,  is now facing an upgraded charge of motor manslaughter due to the fact that the Director of Public Prosecutor withdrew the original charge.

Ollivierre’s charge stemmed from a motor vehicle accident at Chateaubelair public road on the date in question which resulted in Onixcy Hamilton, succumbing to injuries he sustained in the accident.

Ollivierre was on Monday, April 16th, taken to the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne facing the indictable charge.

 Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche did not object to bail which was allowed in the sum of $27,000.00 with one surety.

 He was ordered to surrender all travel documents to the Court and is to report to the Rose Hall Police Station twice weekly between 6 am and 6 pm.

He is expected to return to Court on May 24th, 2018 when the trial is expected to commence.
