The cruise industry here in SVG got a significant boost with the inaugural visit of Costa Pacifica.
The ship which was launched in 2009 is the third Concordia-class Costa ship docked at port Kingstown on Monday 9th April 2018.
Costa is one of the main operating companies in the Carnival group, and a member of the exclusive “World’s Leading Cruise Lines Alliance” (WLCLA), which also includes Carnival, Cunard, Holland America, The Yachts of Seabourn, Princess, and Windstar.
The ship docked here with some 3470 passengers and a crew of 1100.
There are 310 port calls for the 2017/2018 cruise season,9 of them are inaugural visits.
The cruise season comes to a close on Saturday 14th April, with the final call being made by TUI Discovery.
The ship would dock in port Kingstown with some 2000 passengers.
