(TRINIDAD EXPRESS) – Less than two months after he was released from prison having completed a 13-year sentence for rape and robbery, a 47-year-old man from Chase Village has been arrested.
He is being linked to at least three sexual assaults.
The suspect was held last Thursday while boarding a maxi-taxi along the Priority Bus Route in the vicinity of Cane Farm Junction, Trincity.
That afternoon, the suspect was in a red-band maxi when he allegedly accosted a 21-year-old woman.
He told her that if she raised an alarm, he would shoot her.
He then stole her money.
As the maxi-came to as top at Cane Farm Junction, the woman screamed and jumped out of the maxi taxi.
A team of officers from the Northern Division who were on patrol at the time, and arrested the 47-year-old.
