According to information coming out of Grenada, a Vincentian is on the run following a massive drug bust on the eastern end of the island.
The bust took place on Tuesday 27th March 2018.
Grenadian police netted one thousand and thirty-three pounds of cannabis, the drugs were recovered along the seashore in 22 nylon bags in the Conference beach area (St. Andrew).
According to well-placed sources, the lawmen, acting on special intelligence intercepted a boat that came from neighbouring St Vincent, moments after it touched the shoreline.
While two Grenadians were taken into custody, Information is that a Vincentian managed to escape the grasp of the police and remained on the run up to press time.
The bust is believed to be the largest in recent history, carries an estimated street value in the region of 2.6 million dollars.
It was carried out as a joint operation by officers attached to Drug Squad and the Special Services Unit.
