We Strongly object any form of Human trafficking

No form of slavery will be accepted here in St Vincent, this was made clear by Director Of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Colin Williams at the opening of a two-day training session on combating human trafficking, that is taking place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference room.

Williams stated that due to the country’s historical past, the government has an instinctive resentment to human trafficking.

He further told participants in light of the scope of the island porous borders, there are challenges to the issue of human trafficking in different forms.

The training seminar entitled “A victim-centered approach to combating the phenomenon” is being attended by persons from law enforcement, the Public and Private Sector and Non- governmental organizations.
