Salvation Army Surpasses 2017 Target Of $110,000

The Salvation Army in St Vincent and the Grenadines is said to have surpassed its 2017 target for its annual Christmas kettle Appeal.
Reports say that Major Pierre Antoine, described 2017 as a blessed year. The “Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Appeal was officially launched on November 10, 2017.
Antoine said that the original target was $110,000, and they made, so far, $110,500.50.Antoine says that the money received will go towards initiatives of the Salvation Army, including its feeding programme, which has been in existence for more than 60 years, wherein the Army “gives people a hot meal and give them  dry food, but not only for Christmas; they give hampers to institutions.”
He further stated that the money goes towards the upkeep of the Salvation Army children’s home.
